Key Dates with Reading Borough Council

There are some important dates you’ll need to keep in mind during the school admissions phase. Staying on top of these will help ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for you and your child.

Thursday 15th January 2026 - National Closing Date for receipt of admissions.

Sunday 1st February 2026 - Deadline for late applications and for changes of preference and/or address.

Thursday 16th April 2026 - National Offer Day - online applicants will be able to view the outcome of their application

Thursday 30th April 2026 - Deadline to accept the offer

 

After National Offer Day, we’ll be in touch to guide you through the next exciting stage—the school admissions phase.
